When putting on the collar, you should make sure that it is not too tight. If about 2 fingers fit between the neck and the collar, your dog has enough air and still can't simply slip it off.

The collar is designed to be comfortable to wear for any breed of dog and to fit snugly against your dog's skin or, better still, coat.
